Cookie and Local Storage Policy

FBF keeps the Release 1 experience deliberately light on tracking. The Finder uses browser session storage so your answers can move from the Finder to Results without placing private dating preferences in the URL.

Session storage used by FBF

• fbf_finder_v1: temporary Finder answers used to create your recommendations.
• fbf_last_recommendations: temporary platform slugs used to make comparison easier.

Session storage is normally cleared when the browser session ends and can also be removed through your browser's site-data controls.

Essential hosting and security technologies

Our hosting, CDN and security providers may use technically necessary cookies or similar mechanisms for security, abuse prevention, routing or platform operation. These are not used by FBF to place sensitive dating answers in advertising profiles.

Advertising and marketing cookies

FBF does not require advertising or behavioural-marketing cookies to produce Release 1 recommendations. If non-essential tracking is introduced in a market where consent is required, FBF will add the appropriate consent controls and update this policy before activating that tracking.

Affiliate attribution

Approved affiliate partners may use their own tracking technologies after you choose to leave FBF through a clearly identified partner link. Their policies apply on their services. FBF does not intentionally include raw sensitive Finder answers in partner tracking parameters.
